An in-depth chat about Zayn Malik departing One Direction is on the cards...
Directioners everywhere should keep their eyes on RTÉ One this Friday as X Factor judge Louis Walsh joins Ryan Tubridy. It goes without saying that the accomplished music manager will have fresh insight to give on the departure of Zayn Malik from One Direction.
Walsh noted on SPIN 1038 last week that One Direction becoming a quartet would not adversely affect the boy band's fortunes.
"Absolutely. It's not the end of the world, it's not the end of One Direction. It's just someone having a bit of a breakdown... The shelf life is short. The kids grow up and move on to something else.
"The problem with bands like this is that they have a shelf life of maybe five, six years. Then the cracks set in and someone wants to be a solo star. Harry is going to be the big solo star in this band, there's no doubt about that."
Also set to feature on The Late Late Show will be Alan Rickman, Kim Cattrall and Calum Best.
