Kings Of Leon thought Slane sell-out was a misprint!
Nathan Followill opens up in this year's Hot Press annual

Speaking in the new Hot Press annual (in stores now!), King Of Leon drummer Nathan Followill admits that he thought news of the band selling out 80,000 tickets for Slane in 40 minutes was a misprint.
"Yeah, that's absolutely insane!” he told the Hot Press Annual. “When we saw that online I thought, 'That has to be a misprint. There's no way.' I've never seen Slane but I've heard it is absolutely amazing. I cannot wait.”
He also admits the band’s fondness for Ireland. “Ireland is always fun for us, the crowds are always insane, we could be playing for two people or 20,000 people, they've always been very loving to my band, so I'm stoked to get back."
Followill was in sparkling form when Hot Press caught with him in the make-up chair for leading New York television program The Today Show.
Regarding their fifth album Come Around Sundown, Followill says, "I think a lot of that came from us doing the record in New York City. We were subconsciously missing home, the nostalgia of that.”
He also talks about the band’s religious background, the responsibilities of being the oldest King and the difficulties of trying to survive in today’s music industry.
"I think we're just blessed in the sense that we're still getting to make records in a time when not a lot of people are. I mean, I've got friends that are in bands that have made three, four amazing records and get dropped by their record label because they're not selling as much as they should.”
