Join the revolution at Trans Belfast
Los Campesinos! help Trans kick off the festival with a reloutionary twist.
Viva la Revolution! The Trans Belfast hope festival-goers have a passion for revolt as festivities get underway on Bastille Day. The festival which kicks off on July 14 at the Waterfront with Los Campesinos! Cat Malojian, Kowalski and Two Door Cinema Club will do so in a revolutionary manner - Organisers have called on revelers to come dressed as their favourite rebel with a cause.
Embrace the radical spirit and think Gandhi, Che Guevara, Karl Marx or Bob Geldof…That is white shrouds, berets, army shirts, white linen suits, Abe Lincoln style top hat or something Madonna or Angelina Jolie might wear - anything goes.
For the best dressed, there’ll be prizes - 'awesome' prizes say Trans. So let’s take their word for it and take our inner extremist out and turn it into some sort of ensemble.
For the more passive types, Trans say the plain clothed are still very welcome at the gig in the Waterfront, “If you want to enjoy the bands but are too shy to deck yourself out, don’t worry about it, you can still come down and have a super-fun-happy time.”
Great music, rebel attire and good times, see www.transbelfast.com/trans2008 for all the details.
