The Specials icon spins the tunes next weekend...
Get yourself down to the Thomas House next Saturday August 23 for an eclectic and electric mix of ska, dub, reggae, dancehall, funk and more, courtesy of Specials man Jerry Dammers.
In addition to his work with The Specials and their later incarnations Dammers founded seminal label 2 Tone, a key fixture in developing the 70s ska revival. His impressive CV also includes penning anti-apartheid anthem 'Free Nelson Mandela', having his songs covered by Elvis Costello, The Prodigy and Tricky and helming the production desk for tracks by Robert Wyatt, The Untouchables and Junior Delgado.
