Foo Fighters are the first band to be confirmed for the BudRising Summer festival - and Maximo Park are kicking the whole series off with a free, low-key gig!
Summer officially kicks off when Hot Press faves Maximo Park launch BudRising summer with a free gig at the low-key Temple Bar Music Centre on May 21, having sold out two nights at Dublin's Olympia last year. www.budrising.ie will host information on how to grab tickets soon.
By that time, the TBMC's audience will be well-acquainted with their new album Our Early Pleasures, which hits the shops on March 30.
And the first band to be confirmed for the annual series of outdoor concerts is Dave Grohl-fronted Foo Fighters, whose last visit to these shores was in December 2005, when they sold out The Point.
The Seattle crew will be appearing on August 22 in the slightly larger setting of Dublin's Marlay Park. Tickets go on sale on 16 March, and are priced €64.50.
