Electric Picnic line-up rumours hot up
Although there's been no official confirmation, the word on the industry grapevine is that this year's Electric Picnic headliners will include Bjork, the Beastie Boys, Primal Scream and Damon Albarn and Paul Simonon's new outfit, The Good, The Bad & The Queen.
If that's the case, it's an impressive opening salvo for the Stradbally Hall boutique festival, which takes place this year over three days.
Ms.Guðmundsdóttir will be coming armed with a new album, Volta, which is out on May 7 and features guest appearances by Antony Hegarty, Timbaland and LFO’s Mark Bell.
100% definite is the return of the Hot Press Chatroom, which last year had riotous public chinwags with New Order, Bloc Party, DJ Shadow, Josh Ritter, The Rapture and The Frames.
Ttickets priced €220 go on sale at 9am on April 3rd and, given how last year’s bash went, aren’t likely to hang around for long.
