Ash guitarist Charlotte Hatherley goes solo
After several weeks of will she/won’t she speculation, Charlotte Hatherley has left Ash to pursue her solo career.
Reads a joint statement: “After 9 years Ash and Charlotte Hatherley have mutually agreed to part company. The decision is entirely amicable and they wish each other the very best for the future. Ash are returning to the studio later this year to make the follow-up to 2004’s Meltdown album. Charlotte is currently recording tracks for her second solo album, which she plans to release in the autumn.”
As previously revealed in Hot Press, Chaz has been hobnobbing in the studio with XTC legend Andy Patridge, Polly Harvey sidekick Rob Ellis and Eric “Captain Beefheart” Drew Feldman.
