This free event will take place on June 4
In association with the Glór Session & Dublin Writers Festival, Beckett's NOT I comes The Project Arts Centre in Temple Bar on June 4.
The Glór Sessions is Dublin's only weekly music and poetry event. Normally held in the basement of The International Bar in Wicklow Street, it is staging a special showcase for the Dublin Writers Festival. Hosted by Stephen James Smith, it offers an energetic night of openness and sharing, a good mix of experience and inexperience, where the supportive atmosphere and no nonsense policy gives performers a safe platform from which to shine.
Not I was written in 1972, and is probably Samuel Beckett’s most stunning stage image. The play's minimalist stage directions create a delicate visual and aural composition of voice and fragmented bodies - using pitch-black space lit only by a single ray of light.
