David Kitt artwork & track-listing revealed
Puffa jackets are in for spring '09!
David Kitt has confirmed the March 27 release of The Nightsaver, his sixth album which is the result of “two years of late-night experimentation, 80-hour weeks, caught in the reverie of writing and recording in a home studio at the top of a winding staircase somewhere along Dublin’s Grand Canal.”
It features ‘Move It On’, ‘It’s Yours’, ‘Beat A Retreat’, ‘Learning To Say Goodbye’, ‘Alone Like That’, ‘Use Your Eyes’, ‘A Real Fire’, ‘Nobody Leaves’, ‘Don’t Wake Me Up’ and ‘No Truth In Your Eyes’.
“The free-flowing nuances of disco, Kraftwerk, ‘90s house music, hip-hop of all eras and the evolving legacy of crafted synth-pop from Hall & Oates to Junior Boys can be heard throughout,” reckons the press blurb and, well, they’ve got a point!
We’re also delighted to bring you this sneak preview of the artwork, which finds Kittser posing with the Sony mono tape recorder that used to be standard issue for Hot Press hacks. Ah, the memories…
