Dirty Epics sign Universal distribution deal
Dirty Epics have signed a distribution deal with Universal for their debut album Straight In No Kissing.
The album, released on October 31, is preceded by the single 'Way Too Pretty', which hits the shops this week.
The album is being released on their own Scar Records label, but will now have might of Universal behind it, ensuring a level of penetration that is often denied to Irish artists and bands.
"We're really happy," Epics manager Nadine O'Flynn told Hot Press. "It's taken a while but the set-up is exactly what we are wanted, so we're really happy. We're really looking forward now to getting the record out."
The band, who recently played UTV's Live At The Limelight show in Belfast, are supporting The Coronas at the Back Room Sessions, Navan (10 Oct) and The Stables, Mullingar (11 Oct.). They also play two shows at the Greystones Theatre on October 25 (all ages @ 17.00, over 18s @ 22.30), followed by a Tower Records in store, Wicklow Street, Dublin (31 Oct @ 6.30), The Village (Nov 1, with special guests The Kinetics), The Forum, Waterford (2.00) and Loughrey's Tullamore (29 Nov).
