Snow Patrol confirm album tracklist
Snow Patrol have confirmed the track-listing of their A Hundred Million Suns album.
Due on October 24, it’ll feature ‘If There’s A Rocket Tie Me To It’, ‘Crack The Shutters Open’, ‘Lifeboats’, ‘The Golden Floor’, ‘Please Just Take These Photos From My Hands’, ‘Set Down Your Glass’. ‘The Planets Bend Between Us’, ‘Engines’, ‘Disaster Button’, lead single ‘Take Back The City’ and ‘The Lightning Strike’, a 16-minute epic split into separate ‘What If This Storm Ends?’, ‘Sunlight Through The Flags’ and ‘Daybreak’ movements.
“It’s by far the longest (song) we’ve ever done,” Gary Lightbody acknowledges. “Don’t be frightened though, it’s great. Although for now you’ll have to take my word for that and I’m pretty biased I have to say.”
Mr. Lightbody also revealed that ‘Take Back The City’ will be getting its first spin tonight, Monday August 1, at 7.20pm on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio One show. If you miss that, a snippet will be available soon after on snowpatrol.com.
