Lisa Hannigan heads out on US tour, confirms album date

Lisa Hannigan has been “handpicked” by Jason Mraz to open for him on his upcoming American tour.

Her 31-date road trip starts in the Scranton Cultural Centre on October 8 – it’s a full-on support too, with Lisa getting to play for 40 minutes each night.

On the release front, it’s been confirmed that her debut solo album, Sea Sew, will emerge here on September 12 with the lead single, ‘Lille’, available as a free lisahannigan.com download on August 25.

Although still under construction, fans can register with the site for news updates.

‘Lille’, which can be heard in demo form on myspace.com/lisahannigan, received its world premiere yesterday on Tony Fenton’s Today FM show and sounded every bit as splendid as we’d hoped it would.
