Dave Browne releases first Irish USB album
Former Picturehouse frontman Dave Browne releases his new solo album tomorrow on CD and – in an Irish first – USB format.
The singer-songwriter will release his Windows To The Soul album tomorrow, May 30, with the USB format available exclusively from HMV stores.
Although several artists have now released records on USB (notably the White Stripes, who put out Icky Thump on limited edition USB flash drives decorated with cartoon images of Jack and Meg White), Browne's album will be the first Irish record formatted this way.
Dave Browne plays HMV, Grafton Street tomorrow at 5pm to launch the album, followed by a gig at the Purty Loft, Dun Laoghaire that night and a short promotional tour which sees him visit the Granary, Killarney (June 7); Black Toms, Wicklow (7); Bridge House, Tullamore (13); Roisin Dubh, Galway (23).
