John ‘Irish’ Earle dies
The Irish music scene is mourning the death today of saxophonist John ‘Irish’ Earle.
Today marks the death of saxophonist John ‘Irish’ Earle, who's musical CV includes Ian Dury & The Blockheads, The Graham Parker Band, Rory Gallagher, The Boomtown Rats and Shakin’ Stevens. He was 64.
A personal friend of Phil Lynott’s, John also graced Thin Lizzy’s Live And Dangerous album, and of late was a regular in Dublin blues clubs like J.J. Smyth’s.
