Hooray For Humans split with lead singer, seek new members
Cork's Hooray For Humans have parted company with lead singer Aine Mangaoang.
A post by guitarist Alan Healy on the band's MySpace confirmed the departure.
"I'm sure there are a lot of people who will think that it won't be the same without Aine. They're right, but I'm not really sure what I can say to that either," he says.
As a result, upcoming shows in Tralee (Feb 28), Galway (Feb 29), Belfast (Mar 1), Limerick (Mar 7) and Carlow (Mar 8) have been cancelled.
Healy adds that the band are now on the lookout for new musicans. "If people are interested in joining, get in contact. We'll be looking for a female singer, a keyboard player and a bass player."
HfH won acclaim with their 2007 debut Safekeeping and Healy says most of the material for a second album has been written.
