Tight Knit
California dreaming, diminishing returns
Tight Knit is the fourth record from Andy Cabic’s musical guise Vetiver and it sees him treading water somewhat. While we all fawned over his self-titled debut, which featured appearances from the all-conquering king of the nu-hippy movement Devendra Banhart, this just feels like more of the same and doesn’t bring anything new to the table. You can still feel the Californian breeze on ‘Rolling Sea’ and ‘More Of This’ but it seems if you’ve heard one Vetiver album, you’ve heard them all.
Key Track: ‘Through The Front Door’
