Enter into the fray Rex The Dog to save the day. While the DJ isn’t doing anything especially visionary, his debut is a fun-filled romp that wears its ‘80s house influences on its sleeve. For the most part it’s a great record, with the highlight being the Marmite-esque remix of the Knife’s ‘Heartbeats’ (which was popularised by Jose Gonzalez a while back). Depending on your viewpoint you’ll be reaching for the volume button to turn it up – or for the nearest shotgun!
