Radio star Anne-Marie Kelly is behind the film.
Wally, the gripping story of Portlaoise rapper Wally O'Loughlin and his struggles with drugs and depression, will be broadcast on RTÉ One tonight at 10.30pm.
The project was undertaken by Anne-Marie Kelly, the well-known radio personality who currently hosts the Midlands 103 breakfast show.
She has spent the last two years following the rapper, capturing his road to redemption after a life of mental health problems and a suicide attempts.

Kelly says: "This documentary intends to reach those who may feel ignored by the media, family, and society, the ‘real people’. There are no psychiatrists here quoting statistics, this is a man opening up his heart, letting us in to see how he survived and got himself out of the hole he was in."
