WWE Wrestler Brands Floyd Soul ‘Greatest Irish Rock Band of All Time’

WWE wrestler Shane McMahon has branded Floyd Soul And The Wolf as ‘The greatest Irish rock band of all time’.

The wrestler met the Irish quartet in Newark Airport when the band was returning from Nashville where they were recording their debut album. ‘Shane O Mac’ as he is also known, turns out to be a huge fan of the band’s music and the meeting was documented on the band’s video footage.

Floyd Soul And The Wolf, also huge fans of WWE, are said to be ‘mightily honoured”, and say that Shane will be the first to get a copy of the new album. As Floyd Soul quipped, “We’re thinking of asking Shane to be our manager. After all, who in the music business is going to argue with him?”

Floyd Soul and The Wolf are a four-piece rock band from Waterford. They have released three singles to date, played all over Ireland and won the National Student Rock Band competition in 2008. Their Nashville album is being produced by Thomm Jutz who plays in Nanci Griffith’s band.
