Temple Bar record stores ready new releases
Big Brother Records and All City Records in Temple Bar are offering a quality collection of new records on vinyl and CD.
One of Hot Press’ favourite vinyl emporiums, Big Brother Records, has changed its name to BeatFinder and taken up residence at 4 Upper Fownes Street in Temple Bar, which is beside the Foggy Dew pub and above the Flip vintage clothes shop.
Along with all the latest soul, funk, disco, house, electro and techno releases, they also have a quality range of turntables and needles, and a vinyl to CD conversion service for DJs who don’t want to be lugging round huge bags of records.
Meanwhile, Dublin’s All City Records label has a rake of releases that can either be picked up from their 4 Crow Street, Temple Bar HQ or ordered online from www.myspace.com/allcitydub where sneak previews are also available.
These include New Jack Hu$tle ‘All City Anthem’, T Woc feat. Brother Culture ‘Warning You Have’, Snowman ‘Street Corner Hustle’, and Mike Slott ‘Knock Knock’.
Also on the way are Fulgeance ‘Revenge Of The Nerd/‘Mamie Thé’, and Magr ‘Butterfly’.
Running the gamut from dub, hip hop and jungle to funk, house and, well, whatever you’re having yourself, All City are also on the lookout for quality demos and mixes.
