A dramatic day at the Four Courts saw Judge Gilligan rule that the occupiers of Apollo House must vacate the premise by January 11.
A spokesman for Home Sweet Home gave a statement outside the courts just minutes ago, saying: "We'd like the thank the court and the judge for all their consideration today and for formally recognising that Home Sweet Home and Apollo House are a sincere and bona fide effort to address the homelessness crisis in this city.
"We're absolutely thrilled that the 40 people who are residents in Apollo House will have safe, secure, warm well fed accommodation until at least January 11, 2017."
"We're going to pursue a number of legal options that are open to us."
The charity also gave an invitation to Minister for Housing, Simon Coveney, to visit the Apollo House facility at 11am tomorrow morning "to see the efforts that these fantastic volunteers have done."

Glen Hansard, who was also at the Four Courts today, said: "This is a national emergency, it should be called so. We wanted to start the conversation. The conversation is now well and truly happening."
