Villagers announce album details
Becoming A Jackal is out on May 14.
Domino Records have announced details of the debut – and extremely eagerly awaited – Villagers album.
Due on May 14, Becoming A Jackal will feature ‘I Saw The Dead’, ‘Ship Of Promises’, ‘The Meaning Of The Ritual’, ‘Home’, ‘That Day’, ‘The Pact (I’ll Be Your Fever)’, ‘Set The Tigers Free’, ‘Twenty-Seven Strangers’, ‘Pieces’, ‘To Be Counted Among Men’ and the title-track.
After a solo foray to the Canadian Music Week and SXSW festivals, young Mr. O’Brien and band will be supporting the Wild Beasts in the Roisin Dubh, Galway (March 25); Cyprus Avenue, Cork (26); and The Academy, Dublin (27) and then paying headline visits to the SET Theatre, Kilkenny (May 19); Cyprus Avenue, Cork (20); Roisin Dubh, Galway (21); and The Button Factory, Dublin (22).
As previously reported, ‘Becoming A Jackal’ also gets a 7” release on April 17 to coincide with International Record Store day, and will then be available on April 26 as a digital download.
