The Libertines continue to do the resurrection shuffle with a July 9 visit to Dublin's 3Arena. Tickets priced €49.50 go on sale on Friday February 6.
No mere trip down memory lane, the chaps have been busy assembling their "surprisingly upbeat" third album.
"The Libertines have always been about anthems to doomed youth," Carl Barat tells Loaded magazine. "I'm not entirely sure how happy the new songs will be lyrically, but the message is strong in the new songs. It's doomed youth overcoming hardships with optimism."
Pete Doherty has also recorded 'The Flags Of The Old Regime', a delicate and heartfelt tribute to his old pal Amy Winehouse, which is out in March with all profits going to the foundation setup in her name and administered by her dad, Mitch Winehouse.
