The follow-up to The Age Of The Understatement is completed, according to producer James Ford
The Last Shadow Puppets, the project of Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner and Miles Kane, are to release their sophomore album next year.
That's according to James Ford, the Simian Mobile Disco producer responsible for their 2008 debut The Age of the Understatement, who revealed that the new album is the last on which he's worked.
Ford - who's also the Arctic Monkeys' knob-twiddler of choice - said the album was completed, and that it will "be out next year sometime," talking to Rock & Pop.
The duo have performed together sporadically, guesting at each others' shows, but it's been something close to radio silence since they first burst onto the radars seven years ago. Curiosities were piqued, though, when Arcade Fire's Owen Pallett - who was responsible for the string and orchestral arrangements on the first record - sent out a cryptic tweet suggesting the second coming was imminent - and so it looks to be!
