'No Shade In The Shadow Of The Cross' is now streaming and a few lucky fans could be hearing the parent album before they know it...
Sufjan Stevens returns with Carrie & Lowell, named for his parents, on Friday March 27. Ahead of that, we get a taster of the follow-up to 2010's Age Of Adz in the form of 'No Shade In The Shadow Of The Cross'.
Typically tender and literate, it seems to confirm the news that Stevens would be heading back to his folk-y roots with this effort.
Irish Sufjan fans can find out for sure on March 10, for that is the date when a very special listening party is set to come to Dublin.
To celebrate Stevens' first ever Irish show back in 2004, when he played to 100 people in the Douglas Hyde Gallery, at 6.30pm thiis Tuesday March 10 a few very lucky fans will have the opportunity to hear Carrie & Lowellin advance of its official release.
If you pre-order Carrie & Lowell from Tower Records on Dawson Street, you could receive two wristbands which will admit you to the listening party at the Douglas Hyde Gallery, where the album will be played through wireless headphones.
Wrisbands are limited, of course, so it will operate on a first come, first served basis.
