Skully to feature on major Hollywood movie OST
The Denis Quaid, Helen Hunt & Carrie Underwood-starring Soul Surfer will include one of his solo compositions.
Some great news from Hollywood where Skully, a.k.a. one-half of Cork act Metisse, has had his music selected for the new Tristar/Sony Pictures movie Soul Surfer starring Denis Quaid, Helen Hunt and Carrie Underwood.
“I’m thrilled!” he enthuses. “Metisse's music is always being used by US television and in movies, but this is the first time that a song from one of my solo albums has been used.”
The track in question is ‘Nomah’s Land (For Three Pianos)’ taken from his album Without A Voice.
Directed by Sean McNamara, the film premieres here on June 17 and tells the real life story of Bethany Hamilton, a teenage surfer girl who summons the courage to go back into the ocean after losing an arm in a shark attack.
