Were you to stand anywhere in the vicinity of the Main Stage during Phoenix's performance whilst wielding literally any phone with a semi-decent camera then likely you would have footage worthy of an official music video for the band.
With an almost pristine studio-quality sound and a powerful pop art visual backdrop, Phoenix brought a transcendent summery experience to a dark and rainy Main Stage. Six silhouettes bobbing about onstage, their performance proved a hypnotic affair as they veered between the indie bounce of 'Tell Me That You Want Me' and the thumping '70s analogue disco of their latest single 'J-Boy'.
However, it was lead singer Thomas Mars who stole the show by holding himself up like a windswept and floppy haired Roger Daltrey finishing up with a five minute crowdsurf during which the crowd treated him to their drinks.
