Billy Bragg, Flea, Lily Allen and more have paid their respects to the 'When A Man Loves A Woman' singer.
The sad news reached us yesterday that renowned R&B crooner Percy Sledge had passed away. He lost his battle with live cancer at the age of 74.
Known as The King Of Slow Soul, Sledge had a number of hits in the '60s, most notably with 'When A Man Loves A Woman'.
There has been an outpouring of respect among the music and entertainment industry through social media for the late, great Alabama singer today:
The great Percy Sledge died today. I am bereft. His song "When A Man Loves A Woman"...will live forever.
