The sixties icons have tweeted their love and admiration for the 'Purple Rain' singer
Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood have paid tribute to the late singer Prince, who died at his Paisley Park home yesterday aged 57.
No cause of death has been revealed yet, but there is expected to be an autopsy carried out later today to determine the singer's cause of death.
McCartney described Prince as a "creative giant". While, Ringo wrote, "God bless Prince, we will all miss him. I still have my purple whistle. I will blow it tonight".

Mick Jagger posted a series of messages for Prince, outlining his heartbreak and admiration for the musical icon. "I am so saddened to hear of Prince's passing," he wrote. "Prince was a revolutionary artist, a wonderful musician and composer."
"Prince was an original lyricist and a startling guitar player. His talent was limitless... Prince was one of the most unique and exciting artists of the last 30 years."

Rolling Stones bassist Ronnie Wood also paid tribute to the 57 year-old. "I will miss a good friend who was so talented. He was such a great performer / guitar player. Sleep well Prince".
