The Mancunian and the New Yorker sat and chatted for hours - "You Talkin' To Me?"

The former Oasis member, Noel Gallagher, was spotted having lunch the other day with a very familiar Hollywood face.

Yes, sat next to the musician was the star of Taxi Driver, Goodfellas and Meet The Parents, Robert De Niro.

The pair shared a meal and a few glasses of wine at a mutual friend's house in the South of France.

Gallagher posted the photos on his Instagram with the caption: "So we’ve been down to the South Of France for a few days and at a 17 hour lunch at our friend's house THIS... THIS... Actually happened!!! Photo by Saspg..X.”

It appears the Manchester City fan (that's Noel!) was a little star-struck as the second message simply asked: "Caption this one please. Best one wins a Star Bar!"
