The legendary singer has been forced to cancel two gigs scheduled for this week as she is "confined to bed".
"I am so sorry to have to postpone two gigs this weekend - at the INEC, Killarney and the Woodlands Hotel in Waterford," she has stated on her website.
"I was sick last weekend but I managed to get through two concerts on Friday and Saturday night.
"However my health has gotten progressively worse and this week the doctor told me I have shingles as well as a throat and ear infection!" she continued.
"I'm very disappointed to let people down this weekend but there's no way I can sing and I'm confined to bed for the next while."
The two gigs have been rescheduled to take place on 20 and 21 July. With Black saying, "I hope this is not too much of an inconvenience."
