A fantastic weekend of music is taking place this Saturday and Sunday, July 30 & 31
Its been over thirty years since Lisdoonvarna hosted a major musical event. So the Lisdoonvarna Folk Fest is a welcome addition to the local calendar.
The Folk Fest is the opening event of the Burren Storehouse, with a capacity of 500.
The opening night will feature the unique voice of the legendary Sean Tyrrell. Sean is a true troubadour having emigrated to the USA in the late '60s where he lived and performed in New York and San Francisco. He returned to Ireland in the latter part of the '70s, whereupon he began to work on Brian Merriman's The Midnight Court.
It begins at 6pm, Saturday, July 30 and Tyrrell will be supported by the special guests Fergus Feely, Steve Feely snd Mick McNally.

Also on the first night, Jack Talty and John Blake, the Doolin Ceili Band and the Realtime Rockers will all be performing from 6pm.
The Fiddle Case takes place on the Sunday starring Quentin Cooper and Eoin O'Neill - who both featured on the legendary C.D. the Celtic Bandits, Adam Shapiro and Dermot Byrne, D'BIZE, the Sam Evans Band, Ceol na Mara and Out the Gap.
Get down to Co. Clare this weekend for a phenomenal feast of folk music.
