After the attacks in Paris, Brussels has become a possible target for terrorists, forcing the city to cancel every gig and other social events this week.
Guy Garvey, featured in our new issue, was supposed to kick off his solo tour in Brussels tomorrow, but due to terror alert level 4 in the European capital, the venue Ancienne Belgique decided to cancel all gigs this week.
In an interview with Belgian radio station Studio Brussel, the Elbow frontman said he understood why they had cancelled all gigs, but he would have played if they’d let him. When asked if he would come back to Brussels, he replied, ‘Try and stop me.’
Guy Garvey plays the Olympia December 7th - and talks to Olaf Tyaransen in an extensive interview within the pages of our new issue, hitting newsstands tomorrow.
