Julian Cope + George Clinton set for Dublin
Living legends Julian Cope and George Clinton have both diarised dates at the Tripod in Dublin.
Quite rightly hailed as the king of funk, George Clinton will be strutting his multi-coloured stuff when he arrives with the P Funk Allstars on July 4.
Acknowledged as being highly influential to the likes of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, he'll no doubt sift through his back catalogue of over thirty years, possibly airing vertiable stormers as 'Do Fries Go With That Shake?' and 'Flashlight'.
Also on the cards to play Harcourt St's newest venue is Julian Cope.
The former Teardrop Explodes singer, who's been dabbling in a writing career of late, will play a rare Irish date on May 24, in a solo capacity.
