We all remember the controversy caused the last time Brooks was supposed to play in Ireland.
In 2014, the country singer had committed to five gigs at Dublin's Croke Park Stadium, only to run into a bit of a pickle when complaints from local residents spurred council officials to deny him the license for more than three gigs.
In response, Mr Brooks proved that he was a man of his word - five gigs or no gigs. Garth stood by his promise to abandon all five concerts and refund the 400,000 fans.
In a recent webcast, he vowed to return to Ireland saying "Dublin, Ireland... how can I say it any more than that? Cross my heart I'll get to play there again."
