Queen Bey wasn't the only one over the weekend using visuals as a means to get across the essence of her lyrics as Londoner Florence Welch debuts The Odyssey
Each video single released from Florence's third album How Big How Blue How Beautiful has been leading to this.
In a cathartic and primal manner, Florence has formed The Odyssey project with director Vincent Haycock as a medium of expression. Before the short films premiere, Florence tweeted the significance of the final chapter;

Snippets from previous singles ('What Kind of Man', 'St. Jude' 'Ship to Wreck') are all embedded and linked in together within the 47 minute film along with the debut of the final unseen chapter 'Third Eye'. "The Odyssey, like the epic poem by Homer, is a journey. It’s Florence’s personal journey to find herself again after the emotional storm of a heartbreak. Like the layers of Dante’s purgatory, each song or chapter represents a battle that Florence traversed and physical landscape that embodied each song or story," director Haycock reflects, "It’s a metaphorical journey about escaping your demons, confronting yourself and returning to the original Florence, the dancer, the performer, the lover.”
How Big How Blue How Beautiful topped the charts in the US and the UK and was a resounding success critically and with the public. It tops Florence's career as a defining moment in her artistic consistency and undeniable talent. Florence and the Machine play this
