Christine McVie interested in Fleetwood Mac reunion
The group’s former singer, keyboardist and songwriter has hinted that she would like to re-join the group on a permanent basis after her recent London performances with the band.
Christine McVie has opened the door to re-joining Fleetwood Mac. McVie was a member of the group for 28 years before leaving in 1998 and was instrumental in the band’s transformation from a blues group to the more traditional pop rock sound that they became known for penning some of their biggest hits.
Speaking to the Guardian, McVie was open about her interest in reuniting with her old bandmates. "I like being with the band, the whole idea of playing music with them," she said. "I miss them all. If they were to ask me I would probably be very delighted … but it hasn't happened so we'll have to wait and see."
McVie recently surprised fans when she performed with the band during their shows at the O2 in London and it seems that taste was all she needed.
However, McVie remains realistic about the situation stating that "it's a long way down that path if it ever were to happen. We'll have to wait and see."
