His December show will now take place in February.
A delayed recovery from his back surgery earlier in the year means soundtrack legend Ennio Morricone will not be making his 3Arena gig, scheduled for December 12.
Fear not, however – this is a rescheduling, not a cancellation.
The epic show will go on when he resumes touring next year. The new date is Saturday February 7.
Here's the statement from Morricone, speaking at a press conference in Rome this morning:
"It is with great joy that I can finally say that I have truly, fully recovered. I am most grateful for the loyalty that my audiences around Europe have shown. It was with great sadness that I have had to cancel and reschedule so many concerts during the past year. I am happy to announce though that nearly all of my concerts that were planned for this December will be rescheduled into my tour dates in February and March!
"I greatly enjoy conducting my music for my dear audiences and I intend to 'conduct myself' in recognition of their esteem and lasting patience."
All tickets remain valid for the new show , with no exchange necessary.
