Irish 90's collective set for grand return at Whelan's
Whelan's will proudly usher in the return of Kilkenny natives Engine Alley when they make their triumphant return to the live stage in Whelan's on July 23.
Formed in Kilkenny in the late 1980s, Engine Alley quickly established themselves as one of the country's finest talents. A record deal with U2's own label Mother Records soon followed and led to the Steve Lilywhite-produced debut A Sonic Holiday. UK and US tours followed before the curse of the difficult second album struck and Engine Alley decided to call it a day.
Now back in action and ready to remind the masses why they were such a force to be reckoned with, the temporarily-reformed outfit are set to leave everything on the stage when they grace Whelan's with their much-anticipated presence in July.
