Ahead of a series of massive events - none bigger than next weekend's Electric Picnic - fans are warned to be vigilant
Ticketmaster is warning fans to be on the lookout for counterfeit tickets for some of the big music and sporting events coming up in the near future.
“We have seen a number of people very disappointed when they were turned away from recent shows because their tickets were fake”, said Keith English, Managing Director, Ticketmaster Ireland.
The warning to be on the lookout for counterfeit tickets is being issued with major events - including next weekend's Electric Picnic - approaching fast. That event is, of course, completely sold-out, and fans are reminded that the Print at Home delivery method was not enabled on this occasion.

Speaking on The Last Word with Matt Cooper earlier this week - alongside HP's own Stuart Clark - Festival Republic chief Melvin Benn sounded a very similar warning, asking all those planning on hitting Stradbally to be extremely vigilant.
Ticketmaster's English added: “We would urge fans to only buy tickets from official sources otherwise they cannot be sure whether the tickets are genuine or not and they could end up having their day ruined when they are refused entry to the event and be at the loss of their money as well.”
