Speaking ahead of their Stradbally sojourn, Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos revealed that he's positively giddy about the prospect of catching Giorgio Moroder's highly-anticipated Friday night DJ set. Kapranos also waxed lyrical on new album Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action and the band's recent appearance on Letterman.
Also looking forward to his Picnic slot is one Fatboy Slim, who intends to "reclaim the rave" when he takes to the stage.
"“In my circles, E-D-M quickly gets translated into T-E-D-I-U-M,” he says. “If you mention those three letters together people will either switch off or sick up a little in their own mouth. I say, ‘Reclaim the rave!’ Maybe it took dressing it up as something else for the Americans to get it but for us it’s raving and it always will be.”
