The LP will be the first without Alice Glass
Synth-pushers Crystal Castles have announced a new album for release next month, and revealed a single from the record.
Amnesty (I) will be the first LP in the post-Alice Glass era, with the former frontwoman having departed to embark on a solo career in 2014. The rebooted lineup sees Edith Frances heading up proceedings, with Ethan Kath still present and correct as lead songwriter, with a sound that's lighter and less aggressive than their trademark to this point.
The band, who recently became the first confirmed for the second renewal of the Metropolis festival later this year, unveiled 'Char', a single from the album, which further demonstrates their new moody and melancholic style; give it a spin below. The album will hit shelves on August 19.
