The Tripod can look forward to a marathon set from the old skool superstar.
It’s superstar DJ time on May 1 when Carl Cox brings his 24/7 tour to the Dublin Tripod.
Ditching his usual “and friends” ensemble, the 46-year-old will be appearing solo and putting in a three to four hour shift at the decks.
“I just wanted to go back to basics,” Cox explains. “This tour’s going to be about the music and me as an individual DJ. These are one-on-one club dates, which, back in my old rave days, my name was synonymous with. I still have that pioneering spirit and I want to celebrate the scene with the UK and Ireland’s amazing crowds.”
The gig follows the spring release of his 24/7, if you will, clubumentary, which comes with bonus footage of Cox jocking in London.
