Bruce Springsteen covers 'Take It Easy' in tribute to Glenn Frey at last nights Chicago leg of the bands 'The River' tour
A couple of days ago 'The Boss' played tribute to David Bowie by covering 'Rebel Rebel' at his Pittsburg show and he was it again last night. This time Springsteen’s tribute was for the late Glenn Frey co-founder of Eagles who passed away yesterday morning.
Springsteen played the Chicago crowd an acoustic cover of 'Take It Easy' the Eagles 1972 hit that was penned by Frey and Jackson Brown and featured on the bands debut studio album also titled Eagles.
Frey was one of the founding members of Eagles and many have been quick to cite him as an influence over the past 24 hours. Bruce Springsteen and The E Street bands tribute to Frey is one of a long list of tributes that have been shared since yesterday’s news and these tributes are sure to continue over the coming days.
