Bon Jovi receives Irish treatment!
Just what the doctor ordered...
Fresh from rocking the RDS last Wednesday and Thursday night as part of the impressive Circle Tour, the legendary Jon Bon Jovi extended his stay in Ireland for some much-needed knee surgery.
The singer locked his knee whilst performing in Helsinki and elected to play through the pain at the band's back-to-back Dublin dates before attending the state of the art Sports Surgery Clinic (SSC) in Santry on Friday July 1 to tackle the problem.
Ray Moran, Director of Medicine at the Sports Surgery Clinic performed the operation to repair the cartilage ligament damage.
"Jon has spent the last two weeks performing with a knee brace and five concerts with a locked knee, which would have limited his mobility greatly and been very painful," explained Moran. "Having had the cartilage damage repaired he can continue with his tour schedule with significantly increased mobility."
Following the successful procedure, Jon flew out to Iceland for a week’s holiday on Saturday morning before he and his bandmates begin the next round of tour dates, set to continue in Istanbul on Friday July 8.
