Beyoncé released an album overnight on Tidal, a music streaming service
No one can surprise-drop an album quite like Queen Bey; her newest album, Lemonade, is now available exclusively on Tidal.
Lemonade's release was accompanied by a 65 minute short film with the 12 songs spread out through the film. The film can only be viewed on the Tidal app or with a Tidal subscription.
Tidal is a year-old streaming service that claims to stream higher quality sound. However, it has a limited music library which lends itself to having a measly three million subscribers ( Spotify has 30 million subscribers). Beyoncé's promotion on the platform makes sense considering that the service is currently owned by Jay Z, Beyoncé's husband.
