The coming weeks will see both the movie and album getting a release; preceding both is the video for the title track of God Help The Girl.

The project is Belle and Sebastian singer Stuart Murdoch's first foray onto the big screen. Starring Emily Browning, the film will tell the course of how three likeminded people form a band over a Glasgow summer.

Much of what Murdoch and his Belle and Sebastian colleagues produce is gold; listening to this track, we can at least surmise the the soundtrack won't be a letdown.
