The Warrington band died in a tragic car crash in Sweden over the week-end
Following the tragic loss of Indie band Viola Beach, fans started a campaign to get their latest single ‘Swings and Waterslides’ into the UK charts.
Now rock music heavy weights The Stone Roses and former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher have leant their weight to the campaign, urging fans to get the band a posthumous number one.
Viola Beach’s debut single had already reached number three in the iTunes chart when Liam Gallagher expressed his support on Twitter.
The Stone Roses also posted the song online, along with a message urging fans to "get them to Number One".
The group's record label Communion has confirmed that the proceeds from the sale of Viola Beach’s singles will go to the families of the band and their manager.
