Irish citizens put their Trust in the Wire this week as The Coronas' stunning new album shot straight to the top.
An we really can't think of a better bunch of lads to take the long-held crown from Steady Ed. The Coronas have now been on such an upward trajectory in Irish music throughout the last decade that it seemed only fitting that Trust The Wire hit the top spot on its first week. Elsewhere in the charts, several new releases climb high on the Top 10. Halsey's Hopeless Fountain Kingdom head to No. 7, Roger Waters' long-awaited album Is This The Life We Really Want comes in at No. 8, while alt-j's newest release, Relaxercomes in at No. 9.
Meanwhile Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band stays high at No. 4, following its 50th anniversary celebrations, while Damien Dempsey's newest album Soulsun slips from third place to 28th.
