REM special show tickets stolen!
REM are urging fans not to purchase tickets for their Dublin Olympia gigs from unofficial outlets after 122 disappeared in transit between the UK and the venue box-office on Friday March 30.
The apparent theft is being investigated by the Gardai who’ll have a presence at July’s ‘live rehearsals’, which sold-out within hours of going on sale last month.
“All missing tickets have been now been cancelled and deemed invalid by promoters,” says a band spokesperson. “As a result, holders will be refused entry on the night. Strict security and ticket checks will be in operation as the police investigation continues.”
Anyone offered tickets with a sequence number between 0379 and 0500 is asked to contact Pearse Street Garda Station at (01) 666 9000.
While there is no evidence to date that tickets have shown up on scalper/broker/tout websites, fans are advised to be particularly wary of such sources.
